Age is Catching Up

It felt like I have not been sleeping well for the past few weeks.
Body didn't feel right. Hot and cold. Weak. Fragile.

In fact, I have been achieving at least 6-7 hours of sleep every day. Although my day starts early and ends late.
Brain is functioning and working hard non-stop. Mind has to consistently be positive.

Guess age is really catching up.
No longer was I the girl who can party till late and still turn up for a full day of work the next day.
No longer can I endure staying up till wee hours and still feel like a lively bird.
Heart seems to be pounding harder than before.

I don't like growing up.

The world is so insanely small.

Just last saturday, I attended skinny boy's godsis's 21st birthday party at a condo.

I didn't even know this person exist until 1 week before the celebration, no idea how she looks like and her background.

When we entered the function room, I was secretly looking out for people that I might know (just to test my satellite of friends, tsk)

Then I saw this girl staring suspiciously at me. Vice versa. While having dinner, I told xl I found her familiar, though he didn't probe too much into it. Minutes later, someone tapped me and I knew it was really her. My one and only candidate whom I found a job for her. Only met her twice just cause she sent her resume in to my workmail and here I was, seeing her at a random party!

Decisions

I think the only decision that I made that I have not regretted is to enrol into TP. Not that I miss school, but I honestly think it's the best choice I've made in my entire 20 years of life. I enjoyed the course Hospitality & Tourism Management, I've known some of the most awesome people there, and I know 10 years down the road, I will still the same now.

Other than that, I don't know what else to include in my 'Best Decisions' list. If there's any to begin with.

Can never tell what's right what's wrong, what's good what's not. 1 year older but I'm still the same. Falling for the same mistakes due to impulse and complacency.

I've been bumming around so much for 2 weeks already, I feel so rusty and sometimes, quite satisfied with this jobless life. So contradicting, I know it sucks :O But getting the right first job is very important no??

I hate rainy days because it screws up my internet connection. Was so frustrated with IE and Firefox I decided to begin watching my already-downloaded vids (Thank God for that). And for now..........Its Vampire Diaries, because I'm done with the Twilight Series (SUPER AWESOME READ, IT DOES NOT FIT INTO CHILDREN'S BOOKS LOR). Probably need more books to submerge myself into more engrossed readings.

And my eyes have not recovered one bit. Its making my confidence level drop beyond the bottomless pits.

As the kids were happily soaking up the sun at the beach with their beloveds, here comes the heavy downpour that stalled all of their nicely planned activities.

As I stared out the once beautiful, enchanting blue sea, it was replaced with dark grey raindrops splattering everywhere. Here I am, sheltered and dry, I'm beginning to embrace this lonesome life of mine, filled with lots of bad decisions, screw ups, short-lived happy times.

Thankful for the tiny yet significant things with me throughout this ordeal - my music, my book and a cup of hazelnut ice blended.

I am so disconnected from the world....

Have not been meeting any girlies or lesband for more than a week. Everyday has been work x 5, sleep x 1, eat x 2, poker x 1. Colleagues have been extremely nice and all, but the hours can kill ah. It has become a norm to countdown the number of hours I have left during work, and looking forward to my pathetic 30mins of break.

Back from my short getaway to the choppy island, Tioman.

-Snorkeling is totally not my kind of sport.

I can't stop rattling on my virgin experience with this thai workout even though it already happened 2 days back. It was exhaustingly fun with the Htm warriors. The instructor was madly fierce but apart from this, all the "jab jab jab, cross!" and prancing around the stuffy room with attempts to do high kicks and punches were absolutely exhilarating. Felt so refreshed and good after that ah. Am not sure if I would want to continue this sport, but I largely believe I'll do better in modern dance ("because there isn't a need for self-conscious efforts). Hahaha pardon me.

Today is a fulfilling Friday as we l4d for 4 whole hours, completing all 4 maps and survived at every round. Really considered the only game that I stood faithful in playing, big loves. Then it was pedicure followed by catching Overheard at Cathay. I'm starting to get hooked on watching movies in cinema, it put my 2 hours to good use. I like. Up is still top of my list. Its the movie of the year why no one believes me?

I'm left with a 10 dollar note in my wallet to spend for the rest of the week! Somebody be kind to me ok?

Darren kindly brought along white/ice wine (?) to accompany us through the meal. My cod fish was nice, so was the veal cheek despite service being slow and poor mel got spilled on by some lobster with fruits juice. I had my virgin tryout of Wii few nights ago with the secondary school girls. It was so fun playing Boxing, Tennis, MarioKart, Cooking Mama and Wii Music with my clumsy hand movements. Feels like I was having a workout in the middle of the night, what a great alternative to outdoor exercise. Then it was followed by mahjong where we had to play as quietly as we could because of the late hour. It was funny seeing some of us zha hu a couple of times and I had to keep visiting the toilet thanks to my active bladder system. It feels as if I'm still on holiday as the girls have not started school yet. Oh holidayssss I miss you so.

L4d last night again at Katong. We had to travel to and fro because some lousy lan shop only allow members to play. Got business also don't want so weird. I screamed my lungs out while killing the nasty zombies and watched myself get brutally busted up. The room was filled with our shoutings and swearings, like a world of our own. There's a reason why I'm not in DHL or a GPA scorer of 3 and above, simply because its too torturous and difficult for me to get into serious mode for projects. Like, not at all.
research left undone, emails open but not read, playing bejeweled blitz all night long.

The weekend saw me having a party at cindy's place with lesbands+boysboysboys. Pizzas, pastas, booze, board game, cards and One Missed Call accompanied us through the night. Never had so much fun at a home for a really long time, together with the bestest people around. I was being a lazy poke by not helping out to cook and clear up:\ but we all had fun right right rightttt.

Then it was Adidas Sundown Marathon on sat night/sun day. Survived without a wink of sleep, cheering enthusiastically for the runners and screaming in the middle of the night, in the middle of a deserted road right in front of OCH, encountered millions of ants fighting for mars bar and red bean bun, jogging down changi road to continue spurring the runners on, walking to and fro for a few km... I had fun. The experience, is priceless:) Well done runners, their determination and passion for the run touched me because I know I'll never be able to achieve that. Ultra/full leh. That would probably take me 24/24 hours to complete it if I had the determination that is.

1st to 22nd is my holidaysssss. I Must Get Busy!

8 Days Korea + Jeju Wonderland.

Not very wonderful but scenery is really quite breath-taking.

Hotels are very high class and comfortable though:)

Dined at Limon Restaurant with eileen on a Friday afternoon. It serves thai-spanish cuisine and at an affordable price thanks to their 1 for 1 promotion. Good food, lovely ambience and the perfect place to catch up endlessly for our loss days. Sorry no pictures of food, didn't bother. Haha.

Weekend was packed with REPC and actual day for Ironman. Spent mostly quality time with xr, enduring each other's moodiness and exhaustion, but overall it was fun! Slept over at her place for an hour and she made a bottle of honey water for my soreeee throat. Love already lah:D Saw yz for all 3 days but spent very little time with him, really wish I could give him all the remaining energy I have left.

Eileen is finally back from taiwan. Same for yvonne. Miss these 2 lovelies! Haven had proper meetups with Lesband as well. Why is everyone so busy?

Korea trip is next, followed by 3.1. Time is passing fast yet feels much faster. Life is just all about studies then work then retirement? So unfulfilling.

Sometimes I feel so unappreciated by people, even close friends, at other times I feel like I've neglected some important people in my life. Just can't seem to please everyone. Just don't want to be taken for granted and treasure true friends around.

I'm thoughtful I'm thoughtful I'm thoughtful. Life should be much more simple.

I HAD A HAPPENING WEEK!

My trip to hantu was a peaceful and lovely one. Caught many starfishes who were actually very harmless. 'Canoe' across to the other side of the island and walked in the soft and lumpy sand during low tides in to catch crabs and other pretty sea creatures were a rare experience. At nightfall, the entire island was pitch-dark and the only living person seemed to be the group of us. Our hut was facing the sea and as we inhaled the light sea breeze and watched the breath-taking scenery, I sensed a calm-ness within me, accompanied by great company. Sleeping in a tent in the midst of several huge coconut trees felt like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. I.simply.love.it:)

Finally a meetup with my favourite girls and the 6C boys on a Wednesday night at Vivocity. Catched My Bloody Valentine 3D and it was a swearing session for me and Sam. The 3D effects took me off-guard during all the slashing and blood moments but I guess the storyline was rather well-done. Off to st james after movie and it was a huge disappointment. Queued for 2 freaking hours just to get our drinks while witnessing low integrity girls openly cutting our queues.

A pre-bdae celebration for dearest Wan Xuan on Thursday, we headed to Novena's Zhen Fa for steamboat! Food variety was ok and there were bbq and teppanyaki services though they were a bit slow. At the end of our meal, as we had many leftovers which would lead to a 15% charge on our overall bill, we girls decided to bring our bbq prawns out with us. Each clad with 2 sticks and we ran out of the shop giggling away. Our fringe activity was to go Quek En's place for card games and drinking session. It was a well-spent moment with them and the birthday girl:)

Today, I was up by 6.30am to support the dearest in Surf & Sweat at Tanjong Beach. Seeing the sea of people playing all sorts of sports actually inspired me to pick up one and master it well. Heh. Perhaps frisbee, volleyball, swimming, running, floorball, tennis etc... Guess this will be the most meaningful holiday if I ever succeeded in sticking to my words.

Someone pleaseeee motivate me and join me!:D

Today, shopping trip with mom was cancelled due to my exhaustion and severe cramps. Speaking of the latter, my time-of-the-month has come at such a wrong timing! All my perfect plans have been ruined or postponed because of that! Oh waxing.... Oh I wouldn't enjoy so much at hantu... Oh its so heavy this month... (!) Sigh makes me pms like crazy at people who are close to me. I'm feeling so so bad about it.

Today, I ate a lot as usual. Hand-made meatball noodles for lunch, pizza hut for dinner and desserts for supper! I'm so round now:( Short meetup with Jolin was nice and cooling :)

Tomorrow, I'm taking my ftt which I'm half-heartedly wishing to pass yet half-heartedly prepared to fail. Oh fickle Oh lazy.

On a thursday night with the beloved-s:

Finally get the chance to step into the club of cheap drinks and supposingly-acclaimed good music, however the crowd and music were a major letdown! The drinks were worth it though - $12 for a jug of cranberry vodka, $3 for shots! Bumped into Louise and a few htm-ers too:)

Hopped down to Arena shortly after 12 (Dbl O really cannot make it ah) and the music was surprisingly goooood. The occasional liveband performances were quite a spoiler though the female singers' abs were o.m.g. Danced the night away with my favorite sex on the beach and the girls' lychee martini (free flow!), while guys were busy checking them out! Haha.

Back home with a slight tipsy head and a satisfied smile. Grins.

Track back a little, day out with xiangrong before our crazy night.

Did our nails and brows. Feels so clean and pretty now though some parts of the nails already were chipped off:\ Then we went into this world of geeks shop which amused me very much with their enthusiasium and 'hospitality'.

I'm 3 days late but heck, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

First week of school felt like 1 month due to very minimal sleep for the whole week (10hrs of sleep in 3, 4 days maybe?) and madness rush of project submissionS. Alas, all individual projects are down, 3 more major group projects to go! I guess everyone's energy is being snapped away in each passing day.

In the midst of the hectic schedule, I promised myself a good welcoming celebration to 2009. On the last day of 2008, I met up with a big group of fellas at some pub in United Square for the countdown. First year of counting down with Elaine dearest was much much loved:) We were practically high at 2355, spraying the ribbon cans everywhere and playing with the party pack. Soon after, the enthusiasium died down where we just sat there to stone. Haha. Classic moment.

As expected, though not anticipating it, we ended up at Rebel (again!) to dance our night away. Amy joined us and I was sooo elated to see her after so long! Thank you sister for the souvenirs from genting:D Was back home only at 8am with 5 hours of sleep before an intense battle with Research Paper that caused a sleepless night. I must really thank Jeremiah and Eileen for helping me so much for the assignment. If not for them, I would probably have given up.

Town-ed to get xmas present for Benito. Crazy-squashy-wet-crowded-rainy: This is town for you.
Xmas dinnah at Chestnut. Roast turkey, potato salad, parma ham, potato chowder soup, garlic bread & log cake make up a sumptuous meal with the Wongs.

CHRISTMAS DAY:

Cabbed to Clarke Quay at 12MN to meet the ladies and guys. Fashion bar first before a final stopover at Rebel Boutique Club. Music wasn't quite up to standard, drinks didn't get me high at all, but the company with Jolin,Elaine,Victor&friend,Alfred,some ftp friends,Cindy compensates everything:)
Went to church (finally!) with barely 2-3 hours of sleep. Sermon was meaningful and I received some lovely gift tokens. Thank you, that was unexpected but sweet! And I finally get to catch up with pretty Carmen:)
Slept on and off in the afternoon. Waited veryvery long for Benito to wake up. Received my present from him - I'm determined to finish the book! Quiet walk around tpy and visited Ramly Burger.

18th December - Thursday

From an initial plan of BBQ to a last-minute brilliant random idea of Home-DIY-Steamboat at Amy's place. A joyous evening accompanied with our own version of chicken soup, cheese sotong balls, yong tau foo ingredients, sausages, sliced fish fillets, broccoli, green tea+peach tea and a couple of flavoured vodka. I couldn't ask for more:)

17th December - Wednesday

A series of unpleasant unforseen circumstances dampened our mood in the earlier part of the night. Nevertheless, a new experience at Butterfactory showed me a different light in clubbing, and Mambo never fails to hype up the whole atmosphere.

Finally an anticipated meet-up with BP Janice KaKa and Sinyee on a sunny Wednesday afternoon at Sentosa. The sun was so glaring that day it got us all quite badly burnt. Snacking and nonstop bitching were the highlights of the day.

15th December - Monday

Manicure with Lesband -cindy! Followed by Coffee Club with Lesband -shihui! Felt like a tai-tai for that day. My red shiny nails are damn sexayyeee. Heh.

& yesterday,

Indochine and IP Man with Greenscrew. IP Man was a damn good movie! Must-watch even if you don't like fighting shows (because I don't yet i enjoyed it). I was the curse of the night which quite irritate my boy. Haha. Firstly I cursed that the 9.50pm tickets would be sold out but he refused to budge, so we travelled from Orchard to Cathay at 9.40pm and the jinx came true. So we went back to Cineleisure, intending to catch the 11.oopm movie. Pretty cels cursed yet again and tadah! :) Finally we sat at the first row for the 11.40pm one. Tsk tsk.

What a fruitful week I had! But i have yet to meet up with Samantha and Clarice and primary school mates. Damn. Hope all of us will have a day free for each other. Really miss the girls!!!:(

This is Zirca. Crowd and music weren't our cup of tea. But I love their free flow of lychee martinis, though I only had 1 because queue was long.

At 1Am, we hopped on a cab and headed to Zouk. Felt so much better seeing more people of our generation (haha). Off to Mambo and boy, it rocked socks! Week's been a horrid one. Body decided to play hide and seek with me. First it was the stomach, then came the giddyness, then the stomach joined in the fun again. Couldn't sleep well and had to keep popping pills that make me drowsy so that I could fall asleep. Appetite has become increasingly low, wonder should I be proud of it.

Feeling positive sure results to a better day.

My day has been one of the smoothest in this semester to date. Woke up feeling sleepy (as usual), while on the way to school, Jeremiah and I conveniently missed our stop at dhoby ghaut which caused us to be late for lecture. It was a hilarious sight, we were like blur sotongs of the day. 2 lectures conducted in 2 hours for the first time! Since we had a very long break, we headed to Pizza Hut for lunch. Service was.... ____ but I enjoyed it tremendously. Been a long while since Lesband+usual clique (+Kahyuen:)) have a proper meal together. Loves. Felt like I regained back my old self, just for today.

Night time with Alfred at ___! Lovely catch up session that ended my Monday-blue-less day. If only everyday will be like this. IF ONLY.

It was coooool shitxzx at first when hearing the blasting sounds of the speeding cars, but got super irritated when the sound constantly kept ringing into my ears. Got to know a new friend, Desiree, my only company during Day1(: Today, finished watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall at Chestnut's, awesome movie(i wanna go hawaiiiiii). Had subway club for dinner and still feeling very drained now.

There's nothing more for me to look forward to. Probably a day out with elaine and janice.

A delightful selection of flavors they offer, from Lychee Martini to Kahlua Crunch to this unpleasant exotic Chilli Chocolate. I think Rolly will like that. Hahaha.

The Daily Scoop, Island Creamery and Cold Rock are my Top3 favorites now. (Sorry B&J, i don't love you anymore)

After our dessert treat, she brought me to this secluded and abandoned railway bridge at Clementi.

I love its calmity. Ideal place for self-reflecting and emo-ing. Haha.

I had a eventful and fruitful week! Earned some well-deserved moolahs and spending quality time with the dearests and not forgetting, indulging in delectable delights practically every day.

First up, OktoberFest 2008, a 16-day beer festival celebrated by the Germans!

It was easy money because we reached the place at 3+, slacked all the way to 6 for dinner then the work began. Not exactly tough job as the beer girls were supposed to serve drinks till they were busy then we took over.

Shihui came on the 3rd day! Miss her.

Fabulous company i had. Oktoberfest was funfunfun! Can't wait for the next one in 2 weeks' time because i love the good moneyyyy.

During these 3 days, Lesband met up every single day before work to relish several food places around Bukit Timah. This area is truly a food paradise and I get to see all the rich kids and tai-tai around. I'm envious.

&&! On the last day of OktoberFest, we decided to give ourselves a treat at "126" DimSum at Geylang. Passed by Geylang Serai and was amazed to see the bustling night life there. The Muslims are apparently pre-celebrating Hari Raya and the entire street is like 10 times of a typical night market.

Just the other day, I received a pleasurable treat from la la boy at Al Dente Trattoria, known for their "friendly authentic Italian food." Their medium rare grilled tenderloin steak was just right - juicy and tender, while the simple-looking Aglio Olio makes you ask for more. Thank you dearest for the choice of restaurant, I'm definitely going back there in the near future!

Feeling extremely annoyed with my 5mp-phone-but-doesn't-feel-like-a-5mp-phone. haha.

Work from 5PM to 2AM on tue and 11AM to 2AM on wed was no easy feat. Thank God there's rolly with me throughout these 2 days. Without her i might just crumble and collapse. But it was a fun experience - F&B night at Amara was all about eating, drinking and dancing to the hot music and occasional clearing. Then came the clearing of digustingly dirty plates & glasses, moving of furnitures back to its original place, walking in and out of ballroom in pointed heels umpteen times; we own it all. Great company and helpful colleagues sum up the night.

Anyway, its 3Am now and i'm thinking of G800. I wish dad will buy it now so i can bring out over the weekends. But he might be getting only on Saturday:(

I'm anticipating this weekend, however i still have phobia & the ominious feeling of it screwing up. Can't blame me, i can't pin high hopes or it will all be dashed at the end of the day. This fear will always reside in me.

I'm very much addicted to Sudoku, thanks to love and ROLLY. On puzzle #26 now, getting harder but i'm taking up the challenge to complete the entire book! Tell me i'm intelligent.

WE PASSED C Y A !

Fabulous news to kickstart the very first week of my well-deserved holidays from Rolly(: Been through some rollercoaster ride with her and wk, and i'm glad its all over. Will truly miss all the snacking&crapping times with Rolly, Shihui & Wk, the satisfaction when I see the smiles on passengers' face and even the ride home with Shihui on saturday nights.

Ended 09 chalet on Saturday morning, and i'm already missing the crazy bunch. This chalet was particularly memorable; impromptu bbq, dvd marathons, night cycling to Changi Village(though i didn't join), 4bia at 1.50am and earning the badly abrasions and cuts on my palm and knee while cycling. I gotta thank Lesbands and everyone that had helped to clean my wound and comfort my pain. This is worse than any piercings in my life. Eileen and Seb please take care of your injury too! Anyhow, I love every single 09-ians' company and their crazy antics and jokes. When's our next outing?

Training at Amara was the best ever on the same Saturday morning! Short lectures accompanied by a 8-course lunch was the agenda of the day. And thank you Jason for attending to my horrified wound as well, very nice of you!(:

This bascially sums up my entire weekend. Looking forward to all the outings & work planned this holiday, i really hope its gonna be a rockin' and fruitful one.
